Linnets lose all-time leading scorer
Runcorn Linnets have announced the departure of their all-time leading scorer, Ryan Brooke, after six years at the club.
Brooke first arrived at the APEC Taxis Stadium in the summer of 2020.
In the intervening period, he has surpassed Mark Houghton's record scoring tally for the club, moving onto 77 goals in Linnets colours back in March last year.
He leaves having made just over 200 appearances for Linnets, scoring 83 goals in that time.
“Representing this club and becoming its all-time leading goalscorer is something I will always be incredibly proud of," Brooke said.
"While I’m disappointed my journey here is over, I leave with amazing memories and gratitude for the support I’ve received over the years.
"I’ll always look back with pride, and wish the club nothing but success for the future.
"Thank you for being part of such a special chapter in my life. I will always bleed yellow and green."
