NPL East Division Team of the Season unveiled
The Northern Premier League East Division Team of the Season has been confirmed.
As rewards for a stunning campaign which saw Redcar Athletic promoted as runaway champions, four of their players have been named in the starting XI, with further representation on the bench.
Two of the Redcar forwards selected, Adam Boyes and Louis Johnson, scored a remarkable 66 league goals combined last season - the former clinching the Golden Boot after an impressive 41-goal individual haul.
The pair are joined in the forward line by Cameron Wilson, who found the net 25 times in the league last term for Matlock Town.
Wilson is one of two Matlock players in the starting XI, with Declan Lambton - who only arrived at the Gladiators from eventual play-off winners Emley in March - also making the cut.
Following their promotion to Step 3, Emley defenders Harrison Sheppeard and Jack Cowgill, plus midfielder Hayden Lindley, have all been named in the Team of the Season starting XI.
Our Team of the Season was voted for by managers in their respective divisions.
The four Team of the Season sides are being announced throughout the week, as part of the build-up to the NPL's annual awards dinner in Blackpool.
