Bradshaw nets 200th Ferriby goal

Striker goes past landmark.

North Ferriby United have honoured their striker Gary Bradshaw after he scored his 200th goal for the club at the weekend.

Bradshaw reached the landmark with a 26th minute strike in the Villagers' 2-1 defeat to Hednesford Town on Saturday.

Speaking to the league website, club director Philip Withers said "It is a remarkable achievement, especially in age when footballers at all levels seem to move clubs.

"Gary is highly respected throughout the Evo-Stik League for his ability as a footballer and more than one club would welcome him into their team.

"He is obviously popular with NFU fans, it also says much of his own feelings for the club that he returned to NFU when his full-time playing career finished. Everybody connected with the Club congratulates Gary on his achievement."

Bradshaw made his début for NFU on 8th Nov 2003 against Farsley Celtic, scoring his first goal against Workington a week later.

The only break that Gary has had in his career with NFU was to play full-time at Cheltenham Town in 2005, and - at just 28 years old - the striker appears to have a good run left in him.

Bradshaw's playing record is as follows:
League; 268 appearances, 150 goals
Cup; 63 appearances, 50 goals

He has scored 6 hat-tricks for the Club and last season he equalled Andy Flounders’s club record of scoring in seven successive matches.
