In a great coup for the club, Sheffield FC have announced that signing of 19 year old Conor Higginson from Mansfield Town.
General Manager Ian Whitehorne said, "This is a player we have been trailing for the last two years, he spent last season on loan at Glapwell where he scored 23 goals. He is a clever, lively forward with an eye for goal and we are delighted to have him on board."
"Since he decided to leave full time football earlier this week his phone has been red hot, but he likes what we are about and will fit right in with our squad."
In addition to his impressive record playing for Glapwell he made 8 league appearances for Mansfield in the Blue Square Premier last season, 5 starts and 3 as substitute, and scored 2 goals in the process.
Higginson makes his debut for Club tonight against Worksop Town
