Hot-shot is back for second spell

Former Lincoln United, Coalville Town, Spalding United, Brackley and Stamford striker Jordan Hempenstall will be pulling on a Grantham Town shirt again when the new EVO-STIK Northern Premier League season kicks off.

The 25-year-old attacker, pictured, is returning to EVO-STIK NPL's top flight for a second spell after agreeing terms with Gingerbreads manager Adam Saints on Tuesday as he prepared for his squad's return for pre-season training.

Hempenstall finished last season with National League North Brackley Town, scoring on his debut against AFC Telford after leaving EVO-STIK NPL First Division South Stamford for a second time. The forward also scored on his debut for The Gingerbreads towards the end of season 2013-14 when he found the net in a 3-1 defeat at Buxton.

In a statement announcing his return, Stevens told fans that Hempenstall won't have any problems fitting in at the South Kesteven Sports Stadium.

Stevens said: "I'm delighted to get Jordan with us. He's someone who we know well and will fit in with the ethos we have."
