Jan The Man For Olympic

Evo-Stik Premier League club, Rushall Olympic recently hosted another of their popular Sportsman’s Evenings at their Dales Lane ground.

A packed club enjoyed a memorable evening with guest speaker, Jan Molby, a Liverpool and Denmark legend who was highly regarded as a midfield maestro with great vision and power. Signed by Joe Fagan in 1984 for £200,000 from Ajax he enjoyed a fantastic career at Anfield, winning two League Championships, two FA Cups and a double, before sampling management at Swansea and Kidderminster Harriers amongst other notable achievements.

Comedy was provided by Liverpudlian comedian, Tony Roscoe, and also in attendance on the top table were the Midlands’ favourite boxing promoter, Ron Gray and his son and MC for the evening, Steve Gray.
