Paul Smith steps down from Halesowen

Paul Smith has stepped down from his role as manager of Halesowen Town.

Smith took charge of the club back in 2019, joining from Redditch United.

He began his managerial career at Alvechurch, where he also had a long spell as a player, appearing in over 250 games for the club.

In a statement published to the club's official website, Smith said: “To see the growth of the club from the day I arrived to now is mesmerising.

“I'd like to thank my staff, the players past and present, the volunteers, directors, presidents, and most of all the fans, for all your support since I arrived.

“I look forward to watching it grow again.”
