UEFA licensed former Accrington Stanley and Wigan Athletic coach Graham Hastings, pictured, has joined Paxton's staff after being heavily involved with Skelmersdale United's academy and reserve team in recent years.
Hastings currently works at Bury's academy and Paxton believes his arrival at Valerie Park signals their intent for the upcoming EVO-STIK NPL First Division North campaign.
In a statement on the club's website, the Cables boss said: "I'd like to place on record my thanks to Skelmersdale United Academy in allowing me to speak to Graham.

“I first came into contact with Graham whilst I was at Skelmersdale United. Graham impressed me with his coaching sessions and his ability to pitch them at different age groups. Graham will add experience and quality to the current coaching staff, and I think he will be a big asset to the football club.
"It's our first signing of the off season, with more in the pipeline to follow. It signals the intent for the upcoming season, and hopefully will move us drawing on the momentum we gained from last season."
