Sheffield bolster defensive line

Sheffield have confirmed the signing of defender Adam Watson from Worksop Town.

Watson, 29, was most recently at fellow Northern Premier League East side Worksop Town.

The combative defender made 17 appearances for the Tigers last season, scoring two goals, including one against Marske United in March where he briefly featured as a striker.

Beginning his career in Leeds United academy, Watson has also featured for Rossington Northern Counties East Football League Side Rossington Main and Grantham Town.

On his new signing, Ryan Cresswell said, "Adam is a really good footballer who can play in multiple positions.

"[Watson's] very comfortable on the ball and will add a lot of quality to the team. Another exciting player for us."
