Whitby Town say goodbye to striker

Striker Connor Simpson has left Whitby Town by mutual consent.

Simpson joined the club little over a year ago and has gone on to make 39 appearances in all competitions, scoring seven times.

However, with plans to emigrate in the months ahead, it has been agreed that Simpson will depart the Seasiders with immediate effect.

A club statement said: "With a required operation planned in the near future, all parties felt it made sense to mutually agree to an early contract termination.

‘Simmo’ will always be fondly remembered for his final goal in a Whitby Town shirt - his outstanding goal in the Emirates FA Cup at Bristol Rovers in November."
