NPL Midlands Division Team of the Season confirmed
The Northern Premier League Midlands Division Team of the Season picks can today be announced.
Champions Anstey Nomads have three representatives in the starting XI, with a further two players on the bench.
With the best defensive record in the division last season - just 35 goals conceded in 42 games - all three of their starting inclusions come in defence as Kyle Tomlin, Jordan Annable and Oscar Tonge make the cut.
The division's Golden Boot winner with 25 goals, Evan Garnett, is Long Eaton United's sole representative.
He's joined in the forward line by Ash Chambers after his 21-goal haul last season, and Shepshed Dynamo's Jude Collins.
Belper Town, Mickleover and Corby Town are the other three clubs to see one player selected in the starting XI, with the inclusion of central defender Jack Broadhead and midfielders Andy Dales and Jordan Crawford.
The bench sees representation for Wellingborough Town as Dean Snedker and Sam Warburton are recognised for their contributions helping the club secure a second consecutive top-half finish at Step 4.
Our Team of the Season was voted for by managers in their respective divisions.
The four Team of the Season sides are being announced throughout the week, as part of the build-up to the NPL's annual awards dinner in Blackpool.
