Newcastle score six penalties out of six in Doodson Sport Cup

Newcastle Town proved themselves to be penalty kings on Tuesday night scoring six penalties out of six in beating Nantwich Town in the Doodson Sport Cup.

During the game which ended 2-2 Anthony Malbon scored twice from the spot to take the tie into extra time and penalties. In the penalty shootout Town scored four out of four - Leon Ashman, Will Ryder, Darren Chadwick and Kyle Diskin- to put themselves into the next round.

Despite a good week for Castle Manager John Diskin feels that the best is still to come for his young side. Diskin said "We have not peaked because we are a young squad and are still on a massive learning curve.

"There is still a lot more to come. We are still giving away silly goals but the lads are still gelling. It is still early days. We have had some good reults but we need to go on a run. At the moment we win two or three and then lose."
