Chris Glarvey has taken the opportunity to step up a level and has left Grantham for Evo-Stik Premier Division Stocksbridge Steels.
“We wish Chris all the best” said Jimmy Albans. “During his time with us, no-one has been more professional than Chris.”
Gingerbreads midfielder Chris Glarvey has joined former Grantham boss Gary Marrow at Stocksbridge Park Steels. The Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club submitted a seven day approach and have now signed the Yorkshire based player.
“Stocksbridge is on his doorstep and a step up for him, so you can’t blame the lad for taking his chance.” Said Grantham joint manager Jimmy Albans. “they did the right thing with a seven day approach and after talking it through with them and us, he has decided to go.”
Glarvey joined Grantham at the start of last season from Goole AFC as a centre-half, but made most of his 34 appearances in the centre of midfield, scoring twice.
“He had been a pleasure to work with.” Albans added. He is a great example of professionalism, never late for training, always put 100% in and never moaned no matter which shirt he was given.”
