Grant heads to Marine

Grant, 33, played in the Football League for the likes of Blackpool, Accrington Stanley, Fleetwood Town and Rochdale.

He told the club’s official website: “I am delighted at joining Marine. I would like to thank Neil Young for bringing me to the football club.

“I am really excited to be coming in to a very good young team and help them and the Club achieve their goals.

“I look forward to seeing you all there on Saturday against Stafford!”

Grant hit the headlines before Christmas when his signing was announced by FC United, only for the player to reportedly change his mind the following day.

He left as manager of Radcliffe in the summer and has been playing in North West Counties for Litherland REMYCA.
