Quartet all set for live cup draw

By David Watters

Expectant fans, players and officials from the EVO-STIK League's quartet of final flag-bearers in the Emirates FA Cup will be tuning in to Monday night's draw for the first round proper live on the BBC and BT Sport.

The competition's broadcasters are screening the draw from 7pm following the conclusion of the weekend's fourth qualifying round ties on Sunday with EVO-STIK League Premier Shaw Lane booking their place in the hat with a 2-1 win over National League Barrow at Sheerien Park.

Taking place at BT Sport's studios in Stratford, former FA Cup winner Dean Saunders is set to make the draw on the satellite channel and BBC2 at approximately 7.10pm. Saunders, who handed out the accolades at last season's EVO-STIK League Player of the Year Awards in Barnsley, will pair up 80 clubs in 40 ties following the entry of the English Football League's League One and League Two sides.

Ossett Town and Nantwich Town, facing replays at Solihull Moors and Kettering Town 24 hours later to confirm their berths, have been handed ball numbers 50 and 56 respectively with the hopes of the Ducks riding on 52.

Hyde United, one of the three lowest ranked clubs through to the first round proper alongside the Unicorns and Isthmian League Heybridge Swifts, will be looking out for number 61 after they banked £12,500 in FA prize money on Saturday with their 2-0 win at EVO-STIK League North rivals Scarborough Athletic.

The ties are set to take place over the weekend of 3-6 November with winning clubs receiving £18,000 from the FA on top of the expected TV income they will bank when BT Sport and the BBC confirm their coverage plans.

The draw will also be covered LIVE on the FA's social media channels - @EmiratesFACup & Emirates FA Cup on Facebook - as well as the EVO-STIK League's own social media channels.
