St Neots Town manager resigns

St Neots Town manager Pete Gill has resigned from his role with immediate effect.

The Cambridge United senior professional development phase lead coach has been in charge of the Saints since the summer of 2021.

He took on the role after an agreement was struck with Camrbridge in 2020. The appointment has seen a number of young players from the the League One side gain further first team experience on loan at the Pitching In NPL Midlands Division side.

St Neots are currently battling against relegation from the NPL Midlands Division, with Gill's final game in charge a 5-1 defeat at Boldmere St Michaels.

They have won just seven of their 31 league matches all season.

Sean Greygoose and Marc Abbott, also part of the Cambridge United setup, will take charge of the Saints for their remaining matches this season.
