2018's first edition is pitch perfect

The EVO-STIK League's clubs are enjoying their first newsletter of 2018 from official pitch partners and sports turf specialists GreenFields.

Packed with the latest news and insights on tending to grass and artificial turf surfaces with tips for the winter months, including wetting agents, worm control and nutrition, and a section of the latest 3G surfaces, GreenField's fourth newsletter of the season started dropping into the in-boxes of all 68 clubs on Monday morning.

GreenFields are looking forward to handing out the EVO-STIK League’s inaugural Pitch of the Year Awards at the end of the campaign after being appointed last summer as the official pitch partners of the Northern Premier League for the historic 50th anniversary 2017-18 season.

Launched to reward the best playing surfaces in all three divisions in their first digital newsletter back in September, the winners will unveiled at June’s annual end of season awards night in Blackpool after clubs nominate the top three grass surfaces in their respective divisions in an upcoming online survey in February.

The shortlisted grounds will then be visited by experts from GreenFields who will take into account a number of factors including maintenance resources, geographic location, existing irrigation and the amount of pitch usage before choosing the winners.

As well as the honour of being the first recipients of the new accolades, representatives from the three clubs will also be presented with £500 vouchers to redeem against future maintenance materials or services from the EVO-STIK League’s official pitch partners.

The EVO-STIK League teamed up with GreenFields to provide clubs with surface solutions to meet the growing demand for 3G and hybrid turf pitches, as well as advice on maintaining grass surfaces.
