Academy striker gets Radcliffe chance

Radcliffe have called up academy striker Rhys Moseley to the first team.

Moseley, 16, has scored seven goals in the first three games of the season and was named in the NPLFA team of the week after an impressive performance against Mossley.

Boro manager Jon Macken said: “Rhys is a good young prospect who is in the Academy program. He has been training with us for the past few weeks and has really impressed us.”

Academy manager Pete Lofthouse believes that this opportunity is everything that Rhys deserves on his recent performances

He added: “Although Rhys is relatively new to the football club it is clear that he has a lot of potential. His attitude and work ethic along with his behaviour have contributed to him being given this excellent opportunity. We hope other academy players will strive to follow his example.”
