The striker made six appearance for the The Mariners, scoring one goal.
“We agreed to bring Jordan in over a short period of a month to assess if he was the player we were looking for up top," said South Shields joint manager Graham Fenton.
“We feel he just fell slightly short of what we need, but he was fantastic to have around the club and we are sure he will have a bright future in the game."
