Ashton bring in eight new faces

Ashton United have confirmed eight new signings, including some familiar faces, ahead of their return to the EVO-STIK League Premier Division.

A trio of signings arrive from near neighbours Curzon Ashton in winger Connor Hughes, Chris Rowney and Jonathan Hunt.

Returning to the club is midfielder John Pritchard, who spent time on loan at Buxton from Chester last season having also helped the Robins gain promotion to National League North the previous year.

Goalkeeper Jon Worsnop is in from Guiseley, while defence Gianluca Havern has also returned to the club.

Former Bradford Park Avenue winger Nicky Clee, Chorley forward Josh Wilson and right-back Kyle Harrison from Radcliffe have also joined Jody Banim’s squad.
