Ashton United make fifth summer signing

Versatile defender Dan Cowan has joined Ashton United.
The 27-year-old will bring versatility to the Robins defence, given his ability to play either on the right or at the heart of the backline.
His former club includes Curzon Ashton, Buxton, Stockport County and more recently Macclesfield.
On signing Cowan, manager Steve Cunningham said: "Dan is a player that I have worked with before at my previous clubs.
"He is someone that I trust and his versatility at the back means that he counts as two players in the squad."
