Basford boss warns side ahead of Ferriby tussle

Basford United are at home to North Ferriby United in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division on Saturday.

Ferriby sit bottom of the table, but Basford boss Martin Carruthers issued a warning to his side.

He said: “I am aware of Ferriby's current problems, but they have appointed a club legend Paul Foot who will certainly get them fired up. It’s happened to us a lot this season playing teams when they are all out to impress the new manager.

“It will be another very tough test and we aim to keep our good run of form going.”

Basford squad: Preston, Bateman, Meikle, Thornhill, Roma, Carr, Thomas, Bell-Toxtle, Nash, Watson, Hearn, Grantham, Reid, Keane, Tempest, Goodson, Hylton, Stokes.

Basford are running a promotion for the game, with a group of four adults able to enter for £25 as against the usual price of £9 each, also family admission is £10, a reduction of of a fiver and Under 16s are free.
