Blackpool invite Chorley to birthday bash

Blackpool have invited Chorley to help them celebrate their 125th anniversary by returning to Bloomfield Road to rerun their first every competitive fixture.

The Seasiders’ first match, which took place at Chorley’s original ground at Dole Lane, saw the visitors record a 2-1victory. Now the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Magpies have a chance to redress that historic result on Thursday 26 July when they mark Championship side Blackpool’s birthday.

Kick off is 7pm and admission prices are £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Chorley have lined up a tough preseason campaign. Before that match they host Preston North End in the Jack Kirkland Trophy on Tuesday 17 July and are away to Blackpool AFC on Saturday 21 July.

Chorley travel to Eagley on Saturday 28 July and host Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday 31 July before hitting the road again to Droylsden on Saturday 11 August.

A money-spinning friendly at home to Blackburn Rovers completes their warm-up campaign on Tuesday 14 August.
