AFC Fylde Chairman David Haythornthwaite has thanked Witton Albion and the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League after Tuesday's Doodson Sport Cup tie was switched to the Help For Heroes Stadium while the Coasters continue to clear-up up following a fire at Kellamergh Park.
Extensive damage was caused to the pitch and the referee's changing room on Boxing Day following AFC Fylde's 4-0 Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division victory over Kendal. As a result, Witton Albion have now agreed to host the Third Round tie at their Wincham ground.
Fylde Chairman Haythornthwaite said: "I am really pleased we have been able to rearrange this fixture and would like to thank Witton Albion and the league in this respect. I think our supporters will agree this is in the best long term interest of the club."
With repairs due to be completed this week the Coasters say Saturday's home game against Nantwich Town is set to go ahead as scheduled.
