Grant initially joined the club in June 2021 as a player-assistant manager to Lee Fowler.
He stepped up, initially on an interim basis, following Fowler sacking in October of the same year. However, he impressed the club hierarchy and was soon put in permanent charge.
During his time at the helm, he steered the Boro to their highest ever league position and brought the club its first silverware in 15 years, with a 3-0 victory over Wythenshawe in the final of the Manchester Premier Cup.
This season, his side looked in a strong position to secure a Northern Premier League play-off spot, before a seven-game winless run at the end of the campaign saw them miss out on the top five on the final day of the season.
A club statement read: "Bobby took the reins initially on a temporary basis but quickly showed the attributes needed to move into management full time.
"After steadying the ship last season, the club looked to push on this season, narrowly missing out on the play-offs on the final day.
"Bobby's character and determination have been evident for all to see, (not to mention his goals!) and there is no doubt he has a bright future in the game.
"As a club, we are proud to have been part of that journey. We wish Bobby all the luck in the world for his future endeavours."
The club say they will review the 2022/23 campaign before providing an update on Grant's successor.
