EVO-STIK Northern Premier League Radcliffe Borough and manager Paul Maguire have parted company by mutual consent.
Officials at Stainton Park announced on Thursday morning that Maguire, pictured, had left the First Division North club after a run of four straight defeats a year after taking over from former long-term manager Kevin Glendon.
Fourth-from-bottom Boro have won just four games all season and are only six points clear of danger with Kendal Town next up at home on Saturday.
In a statement released by the club announcing the departure of the former Morecambe, Northwich Victoria and Boro midfielder and UEFA A licenced coach who's also worked at Stalybridge Celtic and Macclesfield Town, officials thanked him for his services and said they would release details of their new managerial arrangements in due course.
The club said: "Radcliffe Borough Football Club would like to announce the departure of team manager Paul McGuire. The club would like to thank Paul for all his hard work and commitment and wish him all the best for the future.
"The Club is going to take a new direction and will in due course announce plans for a new management team going forward. [Chairman] Bernard Manning wishes to personally thank Paul for all his professionalism through difficult times over the season."
