Bowland Brewery Player of the Month awards

Clubs have started to hand out their Bowland Brewery sponsored Player of the Month awards for October.

Newcastle Town striker Chris Smith won the EVO-STIK League West Division club’s award after scoring six goals in 10 games during their recent good run of form.

The recent signing from Barton was presented with his award by life member Len Matthews.

Runcorn Linnets have given recent signing Connor McCarthy their award for October, the striker scoring three goals as they continued their positive form in the West Division.

Glossop North End have awarded club captain Matthew Russell their October award following a turbulent month that saw a change in manager. Russell scored in the club’s home fixture against Widnes.

Colwyn Bay fans voted Llassana Mendes as their Player of the Month, at the end of a month in which he turned down a move to a higher division.

Over in the East Division, Tadcaster Albion presented their award to Harry Coates.
