Brighouse Town keen on Luke Dean

Brighouse Town have signed former Bradford City midfielder Luke Dean.

Dean began the 2022/23 season with Northern Premier League side Guiseley. He went on to make 17 appearances for the Lions before linking up with Liversedge at the turn of the year.

The 32-year-old made five appearances for Sedge but couldn't prevent them from suffering relegation from Step 3.

Previously, Dean started his career with Bradford as a youth player and signed a three-year professional contract at the age of 17.

He made his professional debut against Morecambe in 2010 and had loan spells with a number of clubs before joining Harrogate Town on a permanent basis ahead of the 2012/13 season.

Spells at Workington and Bradford Park Avenue followed, either side of a return to Harrogate, before he spent three seasons at Scarborough Athletic.

The signing of Dean is an impressive one for Brighouse, who will look to better last season's performance after they finished the campaign four places and 12 points outside the play-off places in the Pitching In NPL East Division.
