Brodie exits Warrington Town

Warrington Town have released striker Richard Brodie, manager Paul Carden has confirmed.

Brodie, 31, moved to the Yellows in the summer having scored 16 goals for Rushall Olympic in the EVO-STIK Premier Division last season.

He scored twice for Warrington, but was sent off for a second bookable offence against Marine on Saturday, having only come on as a late substitute.

Carden told the Warrington Guardian: “Richard Brodie’s left us. He said he wanted to play more football.

“That’s him done, so we’re possibly in the market for another forward.”

Warrington will now look for forward reinforcements ahead of their FA Cup trip to Consett on Saturday.
