Loughborough Dynamo are heralding the dawn of a new era at the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club after announcing that Tommy Brookbanks is taking over as their new manager.

Brookbanks, who spent 13 years at Evo-Stik NPL First Division South rivals Carlton Town, taking them into the Evo-Stik NPL, takes the reins from the end of the current season. He arrives with an impressive backroom staff in assistant manager Mark Harvey, joint first team coach Darryl Claypole, assistant first team coach Dan Pheasant and physio Stuart Scott.

Dave Clay, Dynamo's current caretaker manager, who took over team affairs following the departure of the previous management team led by Scott Clamp, is staying on as joint first team coach and Football Development Officer.

Loughborough Dynamo Chairman Frank Fall said: "The appointment has already transformed the club and heralds a new era at Dynamo. He clearly is a manager with vast experience, familiar with this level of football and with real expectations of taking the club into a challenging position next season. We welcome Tom and all his team to Dynamo and look forward to working with them for many years."

Fall also praised Clay for his work at the helm and looked forward seeing him lead the club into the Leicestershire FA Westerby Cup Final against Coalville Town at Leicester City's ground on May 7.

He added: "We are delighted that he has agreed to stay in these new roles and trust that he can enjoy the last few games which will end with a final at the King Power Stadium."
