Caton makes Stalybridge move

Striker James Caton, who has just returned to Vanarama National League North club Darlington following a loan spell at Warrington Town, has joined their EVO-STIK Premier Division rivals Stalybridge Celtic on loan until January.

Caton worked his way up through the age groups at Bolton Wanderers before he was released in 2012 and joined Blackpool, who were then in the Championship.

After two years at Bloomfield Road, he joined Shrewsbury Town for another two seasons.

He then moved in the summer of 2016 to Southport where he had already enjoyed a loan deal, and after six months he moved to another National League club, Dover Athletic, before returning north to sign for the Quakers in the summer of 2017.
