Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Frickley Athletic marked Jake Picton’s 100th appearance for the Blues on Saturday by presenting their all action midfielder with a bottle of champagne before kicking off in their 1-1 draw with Marine.
Since arriving as a central defender from Conference North Harrogate Town and being pushed forward into midfielder by manage Karl Rose, the 22-year-old has scored 23 times, his exploits last season earning the former Scunthorpe United junior the vote of fans who crowned him their Supporters Player of the Year.
Picton, who’s also played for Ilkeston and was making his 101st appearance for the Blues against the Mariners in the Premier Division clash, is pictured receiving his champagne from manager Karl Rose and Directors Phil McCroakam and Barry Johnson, right.
