Seven charities have shared in more than £2000 thanks to last season's Loughborough Charity Cup.

The delighted good causes - Loughborough Hospital League of Friends, Shepshed Volunteer Centre, LOROS, Rainbows, Glebe House, Ashmount School and John Storer House - were presented with their cheques, pictured, after a total of £2048 was raised by the leading sides in the Loughborough area who compete in the annual competition.

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Loughborough Dynamo went out at the semi-final stage last term to eventual winners Shepshed Dynamo. They hammered Quorn 5-0 in May's final at Loughborough's First Division South Nanpantan Sports Ground and are now looking forward to defending their title after the draw for 2013-14 competition was made this week following the charity tournament's AGM.

Eight teams are again taking part with the first round draw seeing Dynamo manager Tommy Brookbanks pulling his former club Quorn out of the hat. The three other ties saw Shepshed Dynamo drawn at home to Falcons, Barrow Town hosting Hathern and Sileby Town welcoming Lougborough FC. Matches to be played on October 31.
