Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Chorley are gearing up for another promotion push thanks to the club's number one supporter.

The Chorley Group, the leading North West motor dealership, have agreed a record sixth year of sponsoring the Magpies, cementing one of the strongest partnerships in Non-League football.

The deal, which will see the Chorley Group continue as the club's main sponsor for the 2013-14 season, is a welcome shot in the arm for the ambitious Premier Division club ahead of the new campaign.

And as part of the arrangement, Garry Flitcroft’s Magpies have agreed to make Chorley MENCAP the club's nominated charity for the next 12 months. The club are now looking forward to supporting the charity and say a series of fundraising initiatives are being planned to coincide with the club's 130th anniversary.

Hilary Nicol, Treasurer of Chorley MENCAP, is pictured at Victory Park on Thursday after the deal was announced with the Chorley Group's Managing Director Andy Turner and Magpies manager Garry Flitcroft.

Turner is delighted that a vital local charity is benefitting from their relationship with the Magpies. He said: "We are proud to be doing our bit to support our home town club. Chorley FC is an important part of the local community and when the club does well, it creates a real buzz in the town.

"This will be our sixth season as the club’s main sponsor and we are particularly delighted that Garry and the board have agreed to support Chorley MENCAP as part of the arrangement.

He added: "Chorley MENCAP do some great work in the local community and we hope this link-up with the football club will help to significantly raise their profile over the next 12 months."

Manager Garry Flitcroft said: "I'd like to thank Andy and the Chorley Group for their magnificent support. It's fair to say they are the club's number one supporter and we wouldn’t be where we are today without their continued support.

"If you want to be successful at this level it’s important to have the backing of local companies like the Chorley Group. We’ve enjoyed an excellent relationship with Andy and his team over the last few years and we are looking forward to helping them raise the profile of Chorley MENCAP next season."
