Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Grantham Town parted company with joint managers Gary Sucharewycz and Ian Robinson on Christmas Eve.
The duo, pictured, left the South Kesteven Sports Stadium just over a year after replacing former management duo Jimmy Albans and Wayne Hallcro in early December 2012.
The Gingerbreads announced their exit on Tuesday following a meeting of the Premier Division club’s board on Monday night. According to the club, directors decided action needed to be taken to arrest a current slump in form that has seen the team slip down the table and attendances start to drop.
Grantham expect to make a further announcement on replacing the pair ahead of their trip to Rushall Olympic on Boxing Day and a spokesman thank their outgoing managers for their efforts.
He said: "The Board would like to express their thanks to both Gary and Ian who have both worked incredibly hard over the past 12 months and to wish them well for their futures in the game."
Both Sucharewycz and Robinson were fans favourites during their playing days with Grantham, the latter making 85 appearances and scoring seven times while Sucharewycz turned out 61 times and scored five goals. They were appointed last season after leaving Hucknall Town where they’d first teamed up.
