Clubs receive monthly awards

By James Gordon

EVO-STIK Club of the Month awards were presented to Warrington Town and Runcorn Linnets at the league meeting on Thursday night.

NPL chairman Mark Harris paid tribute to Runcorn Linnets, winners of the first West Division award of the season, for their work in getting back to this level having earned promotion from North West Counties last season after several years of falling just short.

Their start to the season has seen them in the upper reaches of the league table, as well as progressing in the Integro League Cup, earning them the award.

Also receiving their award was chairman Toby Macormac of Warrington Town, who scooped the Premier Division Club of the Month for a stellar run of form that sees them second in the table, having conceded just four league goals in 12 games so far this season.
