Coach warns against complacency

Basford United coach Mark Clifford is warning their squad not to underestimate bottom-of-the-table Gresley FC when they meet in the EVO-STIK League on Monday night.

Nottingham-based United could climb above EVO-STIK League South leaders Cleethorpes Town with three points from a win but Clifford reckons the Moatmen are in a false position propping up the table and will be dangerous visitors.

United manager Martin Carruthers and his undefeated side are looking for a ninth win of the season in the 7.45pm kick-off at Greenwich Avenue, pictured, with a wary Clifford warning against complacency.

The UEFA A coach said: "When you look at the players they have they should be much higher, results will surely start to go their way soon. Monday's game is something of a local derby, a lot of the players know each other and we will need to be concentrated and on our game if we are to win."
