Colls upset the odds

The top level club had been in the UK for a training camp and pre-season tour, and Colls stepped in for a hastily arranged friendly and it proved a great success in front of more than 700 spectators.

Attention was drawn from the likes of BBC Sport and FourFourTwo magazine as Colls defied pre-match odds of 14/1 to win.


Goals in either half from Matt Grimshaw and a Trialist meant Colls managed what Bolton Wanderers and Leeds United couldn’t against this opposition - a win.
