Community is king for new manager

Nantwich Town have a new community development manager for the upcoming 2018-19 EVO-STIK League season.

Lyndon Wain, pictured, has been tasked with further improving the community activity on the superb facilities at the Weaver Stadium and growing the EVO-STIK League Premier Division club's youth set-up after being unveiled on Friday.

Qualified to UEFA B level with over 20 years of coaching experience behind him, Wain will be aided by the team of volunteer coaches currently in place at the Dabbers. He is already well known to them having worked as a volunteer coach for over 12 years while leading a number of youth teams to success and silverware.

Nantwich Town chairman Tony Davison welcomed Wain into his new role with immediate effect in a club statement. "I am delighted Lyndon has accepted this role" said Davison. "He is extremely well regarded not just at our club but across the football community in Cheshire and beyond. He is a fantastic coach and mentor and will raise our youth coaching set up to new levels. I very much look forward to working with him.”

As an FA Charter Standard club, the Dabbers are committed to raising both standards and involvement levels and are on the look out to recruit more youth players and coaches. Anyone interested in joining the club should email: communityfootball@nantwichtownfc.com.
