Congratulations to Ashton United on clinching promotion to the National League next season as the EVO-STIK League's top flight play-off final winners!

The Robins beat Grantham Town 2-0 on Saturday in the EVO-STIK League Premier Division's promotion play-off final with second half goals from Liam Tomsett and Nic Evangelinos to go up alongside champions Altrincham after missing out in the play-offs last season when they also finished as runners-up.

Northern Premier League chairman Mark Harris, together with his directors and officers, congratulate manager Jody Banim, his touchline team, squad and everybody at Hurst Cross on their fantastic achievement and wish them well next season competing in National League North.
