Cup final appeal to fans

Nantwich Town

Nantwich fans are being encouraged to support the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League club's youth team as they go in search of silverware in the Crewe and District FA Youth Cup Final on Sunday.

Nantwich are looking to retain the trophy having defeated Alsager Town 4-1 in last season’s final. This year's final, which takes place at the Cumberland Arena in Crewe, sees the young Dabbers take on Wistaston Athletic. Kick off is at 6pm.

Youth team boss Steve Smithies says his youngsters are really up for the final. "The players have had a very good season in terms of their development," he said. "The team on Sunday will combine the best of our Under 16s, Under 17s and Under 18s and the lads are really looking forward to the occasion. We'd love fans to come along to support the young lads and give them encouragement."
