Cup hero takes coaching role

Warrington Town’s FA Cup goal scoring hero Craig Robinson has stepped up to fill a player-coaching role at the EVO-STIK Norhern Premier League club.

The defender, who scored the First Division North club's famous FA Cup giant-killing goal over Exeter City last season, has been working alongside joint managers Stuart Mellish and Lee Smith since the departure of Shaun Reid in February.

Warrington Town chairman Toby Macormac has backed the 33-year-old brother of MK Dons manager Karl Robinson, pictured, to continue to be a success at the promotion chasers.

Macormac said: “Craig has been a true professional this season and will provide valuable support for our new managerial partnership."
