Cup kings top the bill on new show

By David Watters

After the FA Cup dominated proceedings this week, Friday's EVO-STIK NPL Show Extra looks back on the action and ahead to a full programme of fixtures this weekend as clubs return to the bread and butter of the league.

Produced as always by the team behind FCUM Radio, the latest edition of the popular weekly preview podcast also hears from Frickley Athletic's chairman Gareth Dando on his club's flying start to their top flight campaign.

As well as the Blues chief, host Ben Hughes also hears from Whitby Town Radio's Andrew Snaith and James Heyes from the NPL Facebook Group who took time out from celebrating his birthday this week to review the exploits of the league's flag-bearers in the FA Cup First Qualifying Round.

The NPL Show Extra is a spin-off of the monthly EVO-STIK NPL Show which returned for the third successive season in July. The Northern Premier League’s fans, players and officials are also being spoiled for choice this season with the launch of a third new podcast, the EVO-STIK NPL Division One Show.

As its name suggests the new monthly show focuses on the 44 clubs fighting it out for survival and promotion to the EVO-STIK Northern Premier League's top flight and is available once a month alongside the monthly EVO-STIK NPL Show.

Sponsored for the second season running by the NPL's title sponsors EVO-STIK, all three of the official podcasts for the league's fans, players and officials are available on both iTunes and Audioboom and since the start of this season, directly via their own button on the home page.
