The EVO-STIK League's Twitter account is expected to break through the 17,000 followers mark within weeks after attracting more than 1.9 million views during a September that has seen clubs competing in three qualifying rounds.
@evostikleague rose by 500 to stand at 16,924 on Monday after the weekend's Emirates FA Cup Third Qualifying Round when a host of clubs were trending again on Twitter's UK heat maps - Corby Town, Hyde United, Scarborough Athletic, Stourbridge, Whitby Town and Workington all showing up.
South Shields, last gasp 3-2 winners over York City in front of a massive gate of 2,806 at Mariners Park, even made Twitter's national heat map 100, the EVO-STIK League North club and 2017 FA Vase winners rising as high as 87 on Saturday afternoon.
According to the latest stats from the EVO-STIK League's social media manager James Heyes, the league's Facebook pages recorded nearly a quarter of a million views while the new Instagram account attracted more than 500 followers in its first month of operation.
Impressively, no matchday so far this season has failed to attract less than 100,000 views on Twitter and 10,000 or more on Facebook, peak audiences often far out-stripping those figures.
The EVO-STIK League's new Vole account also continued to outstrip the Premier League's big guns on the new social media platform from Europe having grown to 2,272 followers within weeks of being set up despite being initially targeted at fans of the pro game. Four EVO-STIK League clubs have also created their own accounts after signing up to a platform dubbed the Instagram of football.
The popularity of the EVO-STIK NPL Show's podcasts also played their part in boosting an increasing online after returning for the 2017-18 campaign to build on their best ever listening figures last term.
