Cup tie makes way for trophy hunt

By David Watters

The upcoming Integro League Cup clash between Marine and Workington is being rescheduled by the EVO-STIK League to help the two clubs prepare for long trips in the next round of the Buildbase FA Trophy.

With Marine heading to Dover Athletic and Workington leaving Cumbria to take on either Chesham or Weston in the second round proper on Saturday 13 January, the EVO-STIK League granted a request on Tuesday from the duo to put back their scheduled second round meeting at Borough Park on Tuesday 9 January.

Stourbridge, 1-0 victors at Leamington at the weekend, are heading to Essex to face big-spending Isthmian League outfit Billericay Town after Monday lunchtime's draw for the last 32 was made live on talkSPORT.

After drawing 0-0 on Saturday, the winners of the all EVO-STIK League Premier Division replay between Altrincham and Warrington at Moss Lane tonight (Tuesday) will travel to Ebbsfleet hoping to bank another £7,000 in prize money to add to the £6,000 they'll collect for going through as the EVO-STIK League's fourth and final flag-bearers in Non-League's showpiece cup competition.

A new date for the Integro League Cup fixture will be announced in due course.
