Dabbers hail junior table-toppers

Nantwich Town

Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Nantwich Town are hailing the success of their new U21 side.

The delighted Premier Division club say their young Dabbers are loving life in the inaugural season of the Cheshire U21 League. Currently topping the table with a 100 per cent record and a game in hand, they beat their closest challengers Congleton Vale 4-1 last week.

Nantwich's U21 manager Lyndon Wain said: "The lads are doing very well. They’re going great guns and will provide the bulk of the Nantwich team for the home tie against Sandbach United in the Crewe & District Cup on Saturday which will be a good test. We’re always looking to improve the squad, though, and any local footballers who feel they have the quality to play at this level can contact me."
