Nantwich Town are celebrating a new sponsorship agreement with Whitby Morrison, the Crewe based world renowned manufacturer of ice cream vans.

The initial three year agreement will see Whitby Morrison partnering the Evo-Stik NPL Premier Division Dabbers on a number of mutual commercial initiatives including the naming of the far side stand at the Weaver Stadium.

The stand will now be known as the 'Whitby Morrison Ice Cream Van Stand'. To mark the new partnership, Nantwich chairman Jon Gold and the company's Ed Whitby, pictured, showed they've both got heads for heights by climbing onto the newly renamed stand's roof for a photoshoot!

Nantwich Town Chairman Jon Gold said: "This is tremendous news for the club and supporters. We are excited to be working closely with Stuart, Ed and the Whitby Morrison team to build on the initial relationship and ensure we maximise the potential of creating more awareness and opportunities for their brand and customers on both a local and national level.

"We are extremely fortunate to have a great number of long-term quality commercial partners, who all play a major part in ensuring that we are able to build on the success we have enjoyed in recent years and I am proud that the Whitby Morrison brand name will be now joining them."

Based in Crewe, Whitby Morrison are the world's leading manufacturer of ice cream vehicles from vans to trailers and kiosks. Established by Bryan Whitby in 1962, Whitby Morrison products are built by a dedicated team of the UK's finest craftsmen and have been exported to more than 60 countries around the world.

Ed Whitby said he was delighted to team up with the Dabbers and revealed that the company was already planning a major showcase event at the Weaver Stadium later this month.

He said: "Following our recent agreement with Crewe Alexandra this was a natural progression for us and it’s nice to be able to support both our local football teams. The wonderful facilities coupled with the success that Nantwich Town have attained over the past few years has been impressive.

"The fact that they are a community based club is something that fits very closely with our own ideals and beliefs and we are very much looking forward to playing a part in all this. Plans are already well underway to hold our annual two day showcase event later in October which will see visitors from all over the world visiting the Weaver Stadium to see first hand our world class ice cream vans and vehicles."
