Daniels boost commercial operation

Stamford AFC have appointed former Crystal Palace, Oxford United and Luton Town commercial manager Peter Davis as a director to strengthen their off field operations.

The co-founder and director of Milton Keynes based Regal Sports Press has considerable commercial experience and the Evo-Stik NPL First Division South say his business knowledge and contacts will be a major asset to their future development.

Daniels Chairman Chris Rivett said: "I am pleased Peter has accepted the board's invitation to join the team here and we all look forward to working with him. He will be a valuable addition in the boardroom in terms of his expertise commercially, having worked at a variety of levels in the game, but not just that, he has a broad knowledge of the requirements of running a business.

"He ran his own company before he was involved in football at a club level, organising hospitality at sporting events around the world and more recently has worked hard to establish Regal Sports Press as one of the leading suppliers of match programmes for clubs in this country."

Davis, who has been working with the club since June, said: "I am delighted to have been offered this position and with it the trust and belief of the board that my experience can deliver additional initiatives and revenue.

"Under the watchful guidance and dedication of its backroom team, both past and present, Stamford is a club on the up and one that people in the game are taking notice of.
