Daniels showcase stadium plans

Stamford are showcasing plans for their new stadium development to supporters at Kettering Road on Saturday.

The Evo-Stik NPL First Division South Daniels are planning a new football ground and sports education facility. Prior to submitting a full planning application, fans will have the opportunity to see the plans in the clubhouse throughout the weekend's fixture against Leek Town.

The Daniels have teamed up with New College Stamford and the Burghley House Preservation Trust for the development with the showcase including a virtual walk-through of the site screened on televisions, pictured.

The stadium plans, which also include the building of a new community sports hall, were also were on display to the public at two other events in the Lincolnshire town this week, at the Stamford Arts Centre on Wednesday and again on Thursday at the college.

The Burghley House Preservation Trust's Estates Director David Pennell, said: "People should come and see the proposals to get a clear idea of what we are trying to achieve. The point of the consultation is for people to come and have their say, get their questions answered and give us their feedback."
