Discounted deal offered to away support

EVO-STIK League newcomers Spennymoor Town are looking forward to ferrying their fans to their away games when the new season kicks off after releasing details of the club's discounted travel deal.

The First Division North club are laying on a 49 seat executive coach courtesy of Compass Royston to the majority of their weekend games for a flat fee of £10 per person per game. Supporters Club members will also receive a 10 per cent discount on production of their membership cards when booking tickets.

The tickets are set to go on sale from Saturday when Town entertain Sunderland at the Brewery Field with seats available on the first coach booked to the club's opening day clash at Padiham on Saturday 16 August.

Chairman Brad Groves said: "We are trying to keep the cost down for supporters as much as possible and I think the £10 price is a good one considering some of the distances involved. We will run the scheme up until Christmas and then we will review the package again based on usage."
